Rapamune Monitoring

People taking Rapamune® (sirolimus) will need to be monitored using a simple blood test. This periodic testing will help your healthcare provider know how much Rapamune is in your body and whether you need to increase or decrease your dosage. If necessary, your healthcare provider will adjust your dose to keep your blood levels within the recommended range. Continual monitoring for signs of transplant rejection and side effects is also important for people taking this medication.
