Serious Side Effects

Some side effects of Prograf are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
 
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
 
    • An unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Unexplained swelling, especially of the mouth, lips, or throat
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
 
  • Signs of infection, such as:
 
    • High fever
    • Aches and pains
    • Coughing
    • Chills
 
  • Sores or wounds that do not heal
  • Swollen glands in the neck, armpits, or groin
  • Any skin changes, such as:

 

    • Discoloration
    • Sores
    • Lumps
 
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest pain
  • Signs of high blood sugar, such as:
 
    • Frequent urination
    • Increased thirst
    • Blurred vision
 
  • Urinating less often than usual
  • Difficulty urinating, painful urination or blood in the urine
  • Vision changes
  • Confusion
  • Problems with speech or coordination
  • Tremors
  • Symptoms of a gastric perforation, such as severe stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and fever/chills
  • Numbness and tingling sensations
  • Fatigue, pale skin, dizziness, or shortness of breath
  • Unusual bruising or bleeding
  • Unexplained weight gain or swelling in the arms, legs, ankles, or feet
  • An irregular heartbeat
  • Increased blood pressure (hypertension)
  • Seizures.
