Omontys Side Effects

Let your healthcare provider know right away if you are undergoing treatment with Omontys and you develop any signs of heart problems, such as an irregular heart rhythm, difficulty breathing, or unexplained swelling. Although not everyone who receives this drug will experience problems, some of the most commonly reported Omontys side effects include diarrhea, nausea, and coughing.

In February 2013, Omontys was pulled from the market (all of the product was recalled) to investigate reports of dangerous allergic reactions, including fatal anaphylactic reactions, which appear to be occurring more frequently than anticipated. This medication will not be available until further notice.
