Strength of Myfortic

If you have recently undergone a kidney transplant, you will likely need to take an anti-rejection medication such as Myfortic® (mycophenolate sodium). By decreasing the activity of the immune system, Myfortic makes it less likely for your body to reject the newly transplanted kidney.

This medication comes in the form of an extended-release tablet and is taken twice a day. Two strengths of Myfortic are available: 180 mg and 360 mg. The one your healthcare provider prescribes will depend on various factors.
