Serious Side Effects

Some Myfortic side effects are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
    • An unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Unexplained swelling, especially of the mouth, lips, or throat
    • Wheezing or difficulty breathing
    • Difficulty swallowing
  • Signs of infection, such as fever, aches and pains, sore throat, coughing, or chills
  • Sores or wounds that appear red or do not heal
  • Swollen glands in the neck, armpits, or groin
  • Any skin changes, such as discoloration, sores, or changes in the color or size of moles
  • Confusion, weakness on one side of the body, problems speaking or walking, or vision changes
  • Coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds
  • Problems breathing, shortness of breath, or a new or worse cough
  • Painful urination, blood in the urine, or urinating less often than usual or not at all
  • Frequent urination, increased thirst, or blurred vision, which could be signs of high blood sugar
  • Unusual bleeding or bruising
  • Unusual tiredness, lack of energy, or dizziness
  • Stomach pain or blood in the stool, which may appear as red or black, tarry stools
  • A fast or abnormally beating heart
  • Swelling in the arms, legs, ankles, or feet.
