Mycophenolate is available in the following strengths and forms:
  • Mycophenolate mofetil 250 mg capsules
  • Mycophenolate mofetil 500 mg tablets
  • Mycophenolate mofetil 200 mg per mL oral liquid suspension (supplied in 225-mL bottles)
  • Mycophenolate mofetil 500 mg intravenous, containing 6 mg per mL when reconstituted as directed
  • Mycophenolate sodium 180 mg tablets
  • Mycophenolate sodium 360 mg tablets.

Who Makes It?

CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil) is made by F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Ltd., and distributed by Genentech USA, Inc. Myfortic (mycophenolate sodium) is manufactured by Novartis Pharma Stein AG for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation.
Generic mycophenolate mofetil is made by several different companies, including but not limited to:
  • Sandoz
  • Roxane Laboratories, Inc.
  • Zydus Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc.
  • Teva Pharmaceuticals USA
  • Accord Healthcare, Ltd.
  • Mylan, Inc.
  • Endo Pharmaceuticals.

Generic Availability

At this time, only mycophenolate mofetil tablets and capsules are available in generic form. Other forms of mycophenolate are not available in generic form (see Generic Mycophenolate for more information).
