Serious Side Effects

Some Neoral side effects are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
    • An unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Unexplained swelling, especially of the mouth, lips, or throat
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
  • Signs of an infection, such as:
    • A high fever
    • Aches and pains
    • Coughing
    • Chills
  • Sores or wounds that do not heal
  • Swollen glands in the neck, armpits, or groin
  • Any skin changes, such as:
    • Discoloration
    • Sores
    • Lumps
  • Breathing problems, such as:
    • Difficulty breathing
    • Wheezing
    • A new or worse cough
    • Shortness of breath
    • Chest pain
    • Frequent urination
    • Increased thirst
    • Blurred vision
  • Unusual bleeding or bruising
  • Yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (jaundice)
  • Mood or mental changes, such as:
  • Extreme fatigue
  • Pale skin
  • Dizziness
  • Swelling in the arms, legs, ankles, or feet
  • Unexplained weight gain
  • An irregular heartbeat
  • Increased blood pressure (hypertension)
  • Seizures
  • Muscle weakness.
