Torisel Medication Information

Available by prescription only, Torisel® (temsirolimus) is a medication licensed to treat advanced renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer) in adults. It comes as an intravenous (IV) infusion that is administered by your healthcare provider once a week.

This medicine works by blocking certain enzymes that are responsible for regulating cell function, including cell growth. By blocking these enzymes, Torisel can slow down the growth of cancer cells.

Before starting treatment with Torisel, make sure to review the medication's safety information with your healthcare provider. For example, you may not be able to use this medicine if you have moderate-to-severe liver impairment, certain allergies, or if you are taking certain other drugs.
