Inlyta Uses

Is Inlyta Safe for Use in Children?

This medication is not approved for use in children, and has not been adequately studied in this age group. In animal studies, the drug caused bone and teeth problems when given to young mice and dogs. However, it is unknown whether it would have the same effects in children. Talk to your child's healthcare provider about the risks and benefits of using Inlyta in children.

Can Older Adults Use It?

Inlyta can be used in older adults. Approximately 34 percent of people in Inlyta clinical trials were 65 years of age or older. In these studies, older adults responded to the medicine no differently than younger adults. However, some older adults may be more sensitive to the effects of this medicine, and may have an increased risk for Inlyta side effects.

Off-Label Uses for Inlyta

On occasion, healthcare providers may recommend a medication for something other than the approved uses. This is called an "off-label" use. At this time, there are no well-accepted off-label uses for Inlyta.
