Epogen Warnings and Precautions
You should not take Epogen if you:
- Are allergic to Epogen, epoetin alfa, or any inactive components (including albumin) used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
- Are allergic to mammalian cell-derived products (since Epogen is made in mammalian cells).
- Have uncontrolled (untreated) high blood pressure.
