People who have a liver, kidney, or heart transplant may benefit from CellCept® (mycophenolate mofetil). This medication works by blocking a certain enzyme in the body, making the immune system less active. CellCept is available by prescription only and comes in the form of tablets, capsules, an oral liquid suspension, and intravenous (IV) injections. Potential side effects include pain, swelling, and high blood pressure.
