CellCept Generic Name

CellCept® (mycophenolate mofetil) is a prescription medication that is available as capsules, tablets, an oral liquid suspension, and an intravenous (IV) injection. It is approved to prevent organ rejection following a heart, kidney, or liver transplant. There are generic CellCept products available for the capsules and tablets, but no generic versions of the liquid suspension or IV injections are available at this time.
 
Generic CellCept tablets and capsules are sold under the name Mycophenolate Mofetil tablets and capsules, and are available in two strengths (250-mg capsules and 500-mg tablets).
 
All of the generic versions of CellCept currently available have an "AB" rating, meaning they should be equivalent to brand-name CellCept.
