Azasan Side Effects

Common Side Effects

Azasan has been studied extensively in clinical trials, in which the side effects of a group of people taking the drug were documented and compared to another group not taking the medicine. As a result, it was possible to see what side effects occurred, how often they appeared, and how they compared to the group not taking the medicine.

In these studies, the most common Azasan side effects included:

  • Leukopenia (low levels of a certain type of white blood cells called leukocytes) -- in up to 50 percent of people
  • Infections -- up to 20 percent
  • Nausea and vomiting -- up to 12 percent.

Final Thoughts

You may experience some or none of the Azasan side effects listed in this article. Unfortunately, there is no way for your healthcare provider to know beforehand if you will have problems with a medicine that you have never tried.

Therefore, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you develop any side effects while taking Azasan or if something "just does not seem right." While it may not be related to the medication, your healthcare provider will be able to diagnose and treat the problem.
